Things you don’t want to miss:

Denver Veg Fest • April 12, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. •
This is going to be the vegetarian event of the year. Swanky venue, great speakers, amazing food, cool vendors—all for $10. What more could you ask for? Get your tickets now! All the information you’ll need is available here.

THiNK! An Introduction to Vegetarianism for Teens • RMAD’s brilliant new publication is finished and will be debuting at Veg Fest. Featuring the art of Bizarro creator Dan Piraro, THiNK! is colorful, bold and going to change some young minds about what they’re eating. Be sure to swing by the RMAD area and grab a copy. If for some crazy reason you can’t make it to Veg Fest, e-mail us and we’ll send you a copy or two.

New RMAD shirts designed by Eric Parthum • This talented artist won our recent t-shirt design contest; both of the new designs will be debuting at Veg Fest and both are totally awesome. All the shirts are made from soft and comfortable organic cotton and are being printed up by our friends at VG Kids. After Veg Fest, the shirts will be available in our web store.

Ask Ryan! Expert advice on vegetarian health, diet and fitness • Vegan dietician, fitness instructor and conditioning specialist Ryan Andrews’ answers are helpful, practical, witty and honest. Check out the column here, and be sure to submit your questions.

’Tis the month to go vegetarian! If you’re looking for info on the whys and hows of a vegetarian diet, ask us for a starter guide, come to Denver Veg Fest, or check out VegColorado.com.

Volunteer Opportunities

THINK GLOBAL Humane Education Speakers: RMAD's THINK GLOBAL Humane Education Program is a network of volunteers who deliver talks to school groups, social clubs, churches and other organizations. Potential speakers will be provided with training (to be offered in both Denver and Boulder). More information and a volunteer form here.

Letter writers: We’ve assembled a team of letter writers to address issues in the local ( Colorado) media. As needs arise, we will send out a form e-mail that includes the pertinent media, names and addresses, tips, background information, etc.—making it as easy as possible for you to lend your voice on behalf of animals.

Vegetarian outreach: Help distribute RMAD’s 32-page, full-color guide to vegetarian living in Colorado, Compassionate Living. If interested, please e-mail volunteer@rmad.org.

Check out RMAD’s online volunteer form and let us know about yourself and where your interests lie.
