Boulder Wildlife

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUES. 1/18/05, 6 p.m.

THIS IS IT! The Boulder City Council is expected to take its final vote on the city's wildlife ordinance pertaining to prairie wildlife and non-native birds such as pigeons.

Please come out to show your support! During the public hearing for this agenda item, we will ask everyone present for the wildlife to briefly stand. This has an impact when we have a crowd.

To speak at the meeting, sign up on a blue slip between 5-6 p.m. on the second floor of the Municipal Building and speak to me so we can coordinate our message without being too redundant. We've been cautioned against too many people repeating the same thing. Look for me on the first floor from 5:30-7 p.m.

WHAT: Critical Boulder City Council Meeting

WHEN: Tues. 1/18/05, 6 p.m. (the public hearing will begin after 7 p.m.)

WHERE: 2nd floor of the Municipal Building, 1777 Broadway, at the southwest corner of Broadway and Canyon

If you cannot attend, please send a short e-mail to Council at council@ci.boulder.co.us, call 303-441-3090 or send a fax to 303-441-4478. Thank council members for restricting poisoning and encourage them to reinstate a 12-15 month waiting period before prairie dogs can be poisoned.

For more information, go to http://www.rmad.org/boulderwildlife.html and http://www3.ci.boulder.co.us/clerk/agenda/2005/011805/5A.pdf

Hope to see you Tuesday!
